Over recent years I have done modelling for various projects and reasons, although mainly for self education and personal enjoyment. I started modelling using 3DStudio Max initially for the browser based game Planetarion (http://www.planetarion.com). I was already working for them as part of their design team and decided the games manual needed spicing up with some graphics. So, I got hold of a copy of Max and started tinkering. After my work on Planetarion ended I went a year or so without doing much modelling work but soon returned to modelling when I became involved in a mod team for the first person game Battlefield 1942. My work here involved attempting to accurately model and skin WW2 vehicles and aircraft. Click HERE to see where this work ended up. As of summer 2005 the BF1942 modelling has slowed, although I now intend to replace this with modelling for the new game Battlefield 2 with the mod team of Battle for Europe (http://bf1942.battleforeurope.com). I've also applied to join the mod team at the 21st Century Warfare tournament (http://www.21stcenturywarfare.com/) with the purpose of modelling & skinning for them. I also intend to return to re-designing and redoing my Planetarion models as an avenue of further self learning. |
